Wedding Pix
And so I finally got married
OK! So this has been overdue for … er.. ageesss. So I finally got the whole website working (kind of!) and have managed to get decent technology to browse through the wedding a pleasure. Hope you like them and do take take some time out to pass your comments. Enjoy!
The Engagement Ceremony
Amanda and myself got engaged at a scenic resort called, “Aalankrita”, (pronouncing it might knot your tongue). Below are some pictures of the ceremony, with family and friends, with a blend of – religiously Christian and culturally Indian – rituals.
The Wedding & Reception Ceremonies
We were wed at The All Saints’ Church in Secunderabad (skip:tongue twister!), which has been the church I’ve attended since my short-pant days (not so long ago). It was pretty strange, walking to Sunday School quite some years back and returning ‘home’ with a bride in hand – you’ll know it when you get there – trust me!
Home Coming, Thanksgiving Lunch & Amanda’s Birthday
Now with the wedding over, the string of events was still not done. Here are the pictures from the ‘Bridal Home-coming’, the Thanks Giving Lunch at the Sailing Club, where we also got to celebrate Amanda’s Birthday.
Bangalore Reception
After a few days of non-stop celebrations (16 hours a day can be non-stop), my parents and us wedded couple headed back to Amanda’s hometown, Bangalore / Bengaluru for another string of events, parties and a reception for friends and family who could not make it for the event in Secunderabad. I got to meet some good old mates after quite a few years. Among some of the guests was Sachin with his parents. BTW, for those of you who know him, he shall be wed in November 2009.
