Question: If I were a vegetarian, what am I supposed to worry about?
Answer:
A.) The vegetarian pork B.) The vegetarian beef
C.) The black bean sauce D.) The egg plant
And just when I thought I had vegan, freegan and all the other -egan’s sorted, pop comes a new style that redefines vegetarianism and carnivorous … er….non-vegetarians blending together. Can someone please explain this FAIL!
So whats happened to me after November? Well I get lazy as usual and so have not updated this place much (read: at all). However, in brief, its been a ride with some wins and quite a few set-backs. I returned in Jan ’10 from on my annul leave and pilgrimage to see my wife and the family back in India. Was a quick 3 week holiday which was really the first time that I really got time to spend time with Amanda without much of the family hand-holding us…er.. 3 days to be honest, as we shuttled between a few cities and caught up with friends, colleagues and family in way.
While most of my shooting has been with Amanda’s IXUS 95IS, given that my PowerShot S5 does get the guys at customs nosy, looking at getting their palms greased (and you can’t do the chewing gum tricks Buzz does in the Home Alone movie series). Some of the adventures of my trip were from being stranded at the Secunderabad train station for 7 hours as the train from North was delayed due to fog, to riding a auto-rick-shaw at 40kmph in the busiest part of town by an insane driver (no seat belt options), first class train travel with loads of pampering in a special coupe for $100, gourmet dining experiences for 3 days across the town of Chennai with world-class spreads…and now back to reality in Brissy!
It was my birthday recently and the highlight for the day after work was a lovely dinner a short drive from our house to an award-winning sea-facing restaurant called, ‘The Boroushs Cafe Wine & Bar’ in Scarborough. Here’s a nice shot by Luke as Camille (in the picture) and Dan (opposite me) watch on. That slice of cake was a stunner, with a rich chocolate topping.

Check out these ‘Popping‘ artistes. It takes quite a bit of dedication to pull this single-shot routine, flawlessly. Its break dance moves, but the sheer choreography and idea is quite impressive.
Finally got a new certificate holder for my Graduation certificate, only to realise the certificate is a tad bit bigger than the frame by about 5mm. So annoyed … another “Face Palm”.
With Christmas coming up soon, I’ve finally decided to make my annual pilgrimage to India. With Amanda still there, I was more keen on her coming here and joining me. But, I guess DIMIA has other plans for us, so I plan yet another Indian holiday when I get to see more family and some friends too.
HA HA HA!
Luke, my house-mate caught me napping (er..cleaning my room) some time back.
